Top five cyber hacks of 2014. CNBC lists the top Five hacks of 2014, from Home Depot through to Sony Pictures. Multinationals were the target of many cyber attacks this year in which dozens of million of consumer information were stolen. Here are the top 5.

5 - Home Depot: The details of about 56 million payment cards were taken by hackers.
4 - JPMorgan Chase: The accounts of 76 million households and 7 million small businesses were compromised.
3 - Ebay: About 145 millions registered users’ accounts were affected by the cyber attack.

2 - Apple iCloud: Hundreds of nude images of celebrities were illegally obtained from Apple’s iCloud service. Apple denied it has been hacked.

1 - Sony Pictures: Hackers obtained over 100 terabytes of data ranging from employee passwords, credit card details, medical histories and executive salaries. Unreleased movies including Annie, Still Alice and To Write Love on Her Arms have been leaked. The Interview is cancelled after terrorism threat.
